Trench, cut sod, and carry a bigger payload — in one shot. The patented wings strengthen the blade, hold more material, and give your foot a solid platform for the toughest digging jobs.

The shovel was the brain child of Emilio Villani, partner and inventor of the One Shot Shovel®. While working as a landscape architect in 2001, Emilio became frustrated with the standard round point shovel and its limitations. This led him to develop the concept of the ‘winged’ shovel.
It was originally designed for trenching and cutting sod in one shot (hence the name) but also offers the benefit of a bigger payload, similar to that of a square shovel. The wings also significantly increase the strength of the shovel blade and provide extra foot support for those tough digging jobs. The extra weight added by the wings is offset by the lighter and stronger fiberglass handle, complete with a 1.5″ collar for superior strength at the transition from handle to blade.
The shovel has many practical uses, and there are no concerns as to its ability to perform as a round point shovel — with extra capabilities.
